Our show seriously went off track tonight and we failed to get to most of the topics listed on here that we wanted to cover. I appreciate Greg Kellogg coming on the show however I apologize for allowing it to become the "Brett Favre" show. I take responsibility for that.  I mentioned that people are fatigued with the whole "should I stay or should I go now" ditty Favre has been playing for over a year now. Personally, I think Favre needs to take a powder. He's had his day and was a great player in his time but his time has come and gone. There was issue taken with my statement that Favre has had one good season in the past 4 years. I didn't have stats handy during the show but here are his numbers for the period in question:

Season Team G GS Comp Att Pct Yds Avg TD Int
2008 New York Jets 16 16 343 522 65.7 3,472 6.7 22 22
2007 Green Bay Packers 16 16 356 535 66.5 4,155 7.8 28 15
2006 Green Bay Packers 16 16 343 613 56 3,885 6.3 18 18
2005 Green Bay Packers 16 16 372 607 61.3 3,881 6.4 20 29

Did he pass for a lot of yards? Sure, but you have to take into consideration that he led the league in passes attempted in 2 of those 4 seasons and was top 10 the other 2 seasons. His QB Rating tells you a completely different story as from 2005 through last season, Favre has been ranked 31st, 25th, 6th, & 21st in QB Rating. Favre has averaged 21 Int's over the past 4 seasons. I stand by my statement. Let me put it this way... aside from the '07 season, If Donovan McNabb had Favre's stats from those other 3 seasons, he would no longer be an Eagle. Nuff said.

We love to hear opinions, but we were not able to cover all the great material that was lined up. Southerneagle puts tons of his time into our format, I need to step it up and support him and the format. As far as brett farve is concerned, I still dont think if you look at the overall picture, I can see more bad than good coming from all of this.

Of course, the media will run with this story, and make it bigger than it should be. He look worn down by week 12 last year, and didnt get younger since then, I just cant see how the vikes would consider this. This is just another example of how thin QB talent really is in this day.
