After 3 weeks Matt Forte leads all RBs with 86 touches. Next in line is Frank Gore (73), Marion Barber (72), and Adrian Peterson (70). Forte has a TD run and a TD catch. He's 4th in rushing with 304 yards, after facing Indy, Carolina and Tampa Bay.

Forte has really done well.  I'm surprised that the Chicago offense has been so successful thus far.  That was my main knock against Forte.  Orton has been competent & their offensive line has played very well.  The rookie is also talented...no doubt.

I guess Kevin Jones won't be seeing much of the field anytime soon.

I don't know, rookies tend to wear down as it gets late into the season since they're aren't use to playing 16 games (and parts of 4 others).  I think Chicago needs to be smart and give him a few less touches to be sure he'll be fresh towards the end of the season.

We'll see.  I certainly agree that it would be smart for Chicago to give him some more rest & less touches as the year goes on.  The key is if they feel that Kevin Jones is a worthy backup.  So far, the Bears haven't given much indication they have a lot of faith in KJ.  86 touches in 3 weeks is a lot for any RB.
