Early in the half but Jacobs has run 74 yard on 11 carries.. ohhh do i wish this guy will get the bar 25 times a game.. IMO the kids could be a super stud, plus the Giants O-line looks FANTASTIC or the skins D just plain sucks

what do you guys think??"

I'm very consistent on BJ.  I love the guy's combination of power & speed.  He runs a bit upright & can be injury prone.  However, when healthy, he is an absolute stud.

If I were a BJ owner, I would want him to get the ball around 20 times per game or so to keep him healthy & fresh...and I would want him to get a nice amount of goal-line touches.  With that combination, he can put up extremely solid numbers...certainly worthy of a 3rd-4th round draft choice.

After watching most of the game it seems to me (I may be wrong) that the Giants are giving a lot of short yardage plays to Ward again.  Now, the Giants have not been near the goal line a lot, and I missed the only drive they were close when Eli took it in, but the lack of 3rd and 1yd to go touches indicates less goal line touches IMO

I think it was more of a coincidence that you saw Ward get short yardage carries.  It looked to me that Jacobs would play one series and Ward would play one series.  If Jacobs can continue to run for 6+ yards a carry, he'll be an every week starter for sure.

My one concern with him is that he has a punishing style and hasn't proven he has the durability to do that for an entire year.  If he can stay healthy, he could turn into a top 10 back if given enough carries...he looked awesome when he was on the field.

i agree with you guys but i did see he make a move on a DB which caused him to miss(DB back), & as far as the ever other series i do think they did that a bit ,but overall i think BJ ended up with twice a many carries as WARD, & i loved not seeing Bradshaw, the guy is a horse & if he could learn how not to run over people he could be a super stud, On that one play if Landy did not catch him i believe he takes it 75 yards for a TD

One thing i just thought of i heard last night on T,V. all the Giants O-line played every game together last year & starting the same this year, IMO this is huge for a decent running game.. Which translates to my man BJ, like you guys said he needs to stay on the field, But i saw a change toward the end of last year, when he would normally take himself out he stayed in the game, Plus i believe this is a contract year for him??

I'll put it this way -- if BJ can get about 20 carries a game for 16 weeks, you have a solid low #1/high #2 RB.  When you add that to the rest of your great team, the Crystal Ball predicts big things for "Team thaas".  Smile

Everything is in place for him to have a solid season just as long as he can stay on the field.  He's talented & he's on a good team with a good O-line.  That is a winning combination.

Thanks Jetman.. Now keep polishing up the crystal ball for me, Like you said if BJ can play the entire year things would be great but that is a BIG IF!!! One thing that did suprise me a bit was Bradshaw got NO plays in the field, which is good news for BJ owners
