Backup to Rodgers...not Brohm
This doesn't have a lot of (ok, any) fantasy impact, but I've found it interesting that seventh round pick Matt Flynn is the backup to Aaron Rodgers. He beat out second round pick Brian Brohm. Looks like there was a reason many teams passed on Brohm, who at one point in '07 was once thought to be a top 10 talent for the '08 draft.

Very True big guy, i thought i read Brohm looked just awful in the preseason, the Packers better hope Rogers can play all year or they will be missing Favre big time
I think they will be missing Mr. Favre (my wife makes me call him Mr. Favre) anyway. It may take six or seven games for Rodgers to get settled in at QB, and by that time the playoffs could be a next year thing. I wonder how long it will take the WRs to get used to Rodgers? One would think that it would be a lot easier catching balls that aren't moving at the speed of light!
I'm even more concerned with a potential Rodgers injury. It may have been more unlucky than anything, but Rodgers couldn't even finish the one game he played in vs. Dallas last season. If he gets hurt or is injury-prone, this could be a very long season for Green Bay.
I think the biggest knock on Brohm is that people are starting to think he was a "system" QB. After Petrino left Louisville, the offense wasn't as powerful as it was when he was the coach and Brohm's cred suffered. Heck, I believe Syracuse may have beaten them and that is saying something.
Thanks for the insight on the "system" QB theory. You bring up a good point about him struggling his last year.
