Stewart..
Guys J. Stewart sure looked good in Panthers game but so did D, Williams, Looks like the Panthers have a two head monster Anyway here is my question I have Brandon Jacobs, Thomas Jones, Matt Forte & Ricky Williams all who i consider to be the primary ball carriers on there teams, I have dropped Stewart as i thought his toe was going to be a issue.. But from the skins game it does not look like it is. Is Stewart worth a roster spot over one of my guys or is it to early yo tell
thoughts??

thaas, I see your in full swing of things dropping guys from your roster already. It's kind of surprising that Stewart hasn't already been snagged by another owner. Once he fully recovers from that toe surgery, he has a good shot at prying the starting job away from Williams by season's end. Forte is going to start for Chicago albeit behind a less than impressive offensive line and also with the potential for Kevin Jones to steal some carries away once he's ready to go. It's tough to gage rookie RB's but if you want to play it safe, you may want to stay with Forte although I personally think Stewart has more upside.
Thanks but like i said my on;ly fear is Stewart will split carries with D. Williams, where a Like you said Forte is behind a less O-Line, but still we get More chances to carry the ball??
I pretty much addressed the splitting carries issue as well as Forte. thaas, i'll say again it's hard to see how Stewart is still available on your waiver wire. He's going on average around the 7th round and he surely has more value than one of your later round picks for sure. Also, who did you pickup after dropping him? Why not keep Stewart and see how things shake out or swing a trade to someone hurting at RB? Either you just dropped Stewart tonight or your league is completely asleep. Someone will be sure to happily snag him off the wire in the very near future. He has 10 carries for 100 yds tonight, including a 50-yd TD run.
Ya i dropped Stewartd pickup Ricky Williams, he seems to have the Job abd RB for the Fins... The Boys Dave & jetman thought that was a smart Move??
SE.. I thought i read Stewarts Toe would bother him the entire season and that is whay people thought he would be a very risky pick??
Hard to argue against picking up Ricky Williams since he was named the starter and has looked so good thus far. Let's just hope he's learned his lesson this time and that his Cheech and Chong urges don't return. So my question to you is are you only allowed to carry 4 RB's?
I like Stewart a little better than Forte after his performance vs. Washington. He has more upside than Forte IMO. Forte plays in a bad offense & could split carries with KJ as Joe Q said. I would drop Forte for Stewart...but it is close between the two since Stewart isn't the clear starter in Carolina. Just my 2 cents...
Jets, did you see how he exploded down the left side last night for that TD! He looked really good (as did Williams) and the Panthers were alternating both of them which could be a sign of things to come. That O-line did a solid job of opening up lanes for them. Carolina played extremely well.
Ya my fear is that Forte is starter, can Stewart do that again?? The game got out of hand and the skins gave up IMO
The Panthers were up 13-0 when Stewart broke off that long run so I wouldn't say it was out of hand at the time of that run but he sure helped to blow open that game.
Can you only carry 4 rb's, thaas???
Ya i can only carry 4 RB's this roster is VERY strict.. It sucks, my fear with Stewart is D. Williams, my fear with Williams is Stewart, If only the Jetman would let me borrow that New Crystal ball
I see more potential in Stewart but if Forte gets more opportunities he could come around, JMO
Last year i had a chance to get Stallworth or Welker very early on i chose the wrong one.. DARNNN IT, i trying not to make the same mistake
It happens, thaas. All of us have been on the wrong end of decisions like that and it won't be the last time either. As Jets stated, it's a close call on this one. I'd also go with Stewart. Aside from getting half the carries, he's going to get most of the goal line touches in a better offense.
You really think he will get the goaline carries?? I know Doomsday has NOT been a big fan of stewart
Yeah...this is a tough call. However, I'm in total agreement with Mr. S. Eagle. Carolina upgraded their O-line in the draft & Fox is a run-oriented coach. There will probably be plenty of carries for both players & I'm not sure D'Angelo can handle a full load. Stewart can have a role similar to Marion Barber III last year where Julius Jones was the "starter", but Barber got his share of touches & was the goal line back.
I think Doomsday likes Stewart just fine...but he's been concerned about his injury situation. If Doomsday Dave saw his performance last night, I'm sure he would like him a lot more.
It is a close call, but I like Stewart over Forte based on last night's great performance. He really exploded down the sideline for that TD. I absolutely love this kid...he just needs to stay healthy.
Ok thanks Guys Stewart it is...
