Sweet 16 NCAA Picks from jetsjetsjets' Crystal Ball

I just wanted to do my first blog on the "New & Improved" Ownersboxsports.com. As many of you know, my Crystal Ball loves to make predictions. He has his Sweet 16 NCAA Tournament Picks ready to go! I have to make this one quick as I am doing this on my lunch hour at work. However, everyone will see much more of the Crystal Ball in the coming weeks/months. We will write a more detailed blog on our Final Four Thoughts/Selections:

East: Pitt 76 Xavier 69 -- Sam Young & Co. too much for the scrappy Musketeers
Nova 77 Duke 75 -- Reynolds & Cunningham come up big for the Wildcats.

West: UConn 80 Purdue 74 -- UConn puts distractions aside & gets it done.
Memphis 79 Mizzou 75 -- Intriguing game. One thing is for sure -- The tigers will win! :) :)

South: UNC 84 Gonzaga 79 -- I can't go against the Alma Mater!
Syracuse 79 Oklahoma 75 -- The Cuse has too much balance for OU.

Midwest: Louisville 76 Arizona 66 -- It is Midnight for the lone Cinderella.
Mich St. 73 KU 70 -- The Defending Champs are ousted in a good one.

I hope everyone enjoys the games!! Feel free to share your opinions!

Great to have the Crystal Ball back in action here!

I also have Pitt over Xavier. SteelCity will be happy to see this pick. I'm very much looking forward to watching Villanova-Duke tonight and love your pick!

I had the Temple Owls as my surprise pick to get to the Sweet 16. I thought they would match-up well with Arizona St. and then possibly catch a slightly fatigued Orangemen squad and pull another upset. Didn't happen but I had picked Oklahoma to win this game and move on to face UNC in the Great 8. The only other pick where my bracket is different than the Crystal Ball is Kansas over Michigan St. I have Louisville winning that bracket anyway and meeting up with Memphis in the Final four.

Good stuff, Jets and Good Luck to your Tarheels tomorrow night!!!

Thanks, SouthernEagle. Our 2 different games are the toughest ones to forecast. Kansas-Mich St. should be a great game. I think the Spartans are more experienced & have more good players than KU. However, S. Collins & C. Aldrich are 2 game-changing players for the Jayhawks. It should be a great one.

Syracuse-Oklahoma should also be competitive. I like the way Syracuse is playing at the end of the season & feel they can carry this momentum one more game. I do hope they will then lose to my beloved Tar Heels. Thanks for the well-wishes!!
