OK, so we’ve got some results from the Combine to work with and have a week of Free Agency behind us.  Here’s my updated mock based on the latest…

NFL Mock Draft 2/13/08

This is my first full 1st round mock of 2008. It will also be my only one until after the Combine. For those of you new to the NFL draft scene, the NFL Scouting Combine, held in Indianapolis, is where selected college players are put through a huge battery of tests and interviews. Many players watch their stock sore or crash based on their Combine results. Those who have poor showings, usually invite NFL Scouts to their college for their Pro Day workout where they attempt to repair damage done in Indy. I guarantee my mock will change a few times before the NFL draft based on these workouts and also information that comes through (injuries, drug test results, etc). So here's my shot at predicting the unpredictable.

2008 Offensive Free Agents

Here are some lists I've compiled of offensive free agents for 2008. There are some big names available so guess away at where they'll all wind up. If you run across anyone I've missed, add a comment with the info on the appropriate page and I'll update the list. As player signings take place, we'll continue to update these pages to reflect each players new team.

Thanks to all who have made this site your fantasy home this season. We do have a favor to ask of you. We don't ask for much around here but we'd like some feedback on how you did this season and whether or not we were able help out. The 2007 Dave's OBS Awards

So, we've come to the end of the Fantasy Football 2007 season and what a bizarre season it was. We normally see some surprises, both good and bad, but I don't think fantasy leaguers have ever experienced a season this unpredictable. We watched several top 10 picks disappoint and some players that were all but written off, come to the rescue of some fantasy teams.

Pats-Giants game to be televised on NBC and CBS

The NFL has relented and decided to simulcast the Patriots bid for perfection on both CBS and NBC.  The game was originally scheduled to be carried exclusively by the NFL Network, however with an estimated 60% of america unable to watch the game the pressure began to mount on league officials.  The league's contention has been that this problem has been caused by some cable providers failing to provide this network as part of their basic cable package.  While the NFL is all about making a buck, i do have a problem with companies like Comcast who created a 'Sports Tier' out of this air just

Boston Tea Party

How quickly things change. A year ago, the Boston Celtics (24-58) were cellar-dwellars in the NBA's Atlantic Division, finishing with the 2nd worst record in the league. This season, they enter tonight's game against the Sacramento Kings with the league's best record at 22-3. Credit goes to Celts GM, Danny Ainge, for making the roster moves that have led to this season's revival that has made this franchise and it's fans proud once again.

Small Market be Damned

As I watched Monday Night Football last night, I smiled as i listened to Tony Kornheiser talk as if Ladainian Tomlinson was a great player whose immense talents have or are being overlooked in that obscure market called San Diego(which happens to be the 8th largest city in the U.S.). I can't think of a smaller market than Green Bay, Wisconsin yet somehow i think you've all heard of some guy named Favre.

Week 16 - Hot Streak Report

Here is a list of the top 10 players, by position. The data that drives these numbers are from the last 4 games (or 3 games for players with a bye). The numbers within the columns for week's 12-15 correspond to the total fantasy points generated by each player for that given week. The last column represents the average fantasy points that player has produced. This information is useful in allowing us to see which players are playing at a top level leading into week 16. If your team has been on a roll of late, chances are one or more of these
players has played a part in that.
